Before your appointment…

1. Start moisturizing your skin as far in advance as possible.

2. Shave and exfoliate 24-48 hours before your appointment (not on the day of your session).

3. Continue to moisturize after shaving/exfoliating leading up to the day of your tan (focus on areas that are known to get particularly dry- elbows, wrists, knees and ankles) with a caveat…

DO NOT use moisturizer, body oils, makeup, perfume or deodorant on the day of your tan unless you’re able to wash it all off before your appointment. If you choose to shower on the day of your appointment, make it a few hours beforehand so your pores close back up before your tan.

4. If you use Dove, Olay, or bar soap, cut it out of your routine in the days leading up to your tan and while you have your tan.

Tips:

Consider using Let’s Glow’s Good To Glow body wash while preparing and caring for your tan. It moisturizes without leaving a residue and has spray-tan safe ingredients.

Avoid washing hair in your last shower before your appointment (shampoo & conditioner leave behind a residue on your skin) AND in your post-tan rinse.

Be sure not use oily exfoliating scrubs, as you prep for your session. Oils will leave a residue on your skin that will block the spray tan from being absorbed.

Have dark, loose clothing to change into after your appointment (preferably no robes… waist ties = waist lines).
